Soccer Game Preview: Denver North vs. Northfield

The Denver North Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Northfield Nighthawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Denver North's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Denver North is headed into the contest having not lost since August 28 and will look to keep things rolling. They and Denver East finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Denver North's goal came courtesy of Owen Clough, who's now up to seven this season.

Meanwhile, Northfield put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Hinkley an 8-0 shutout. That looming 8-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Northfield yet this season.

Denver North's draw makes their record 6-1-2 this season. As for Northfield, their win bumped their record up to 9-0-1.

Denver North suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Northfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
