Basketball Recap: King's Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Angelina Alicea and Lily Welsh

King's Christian lost against Gloucester County Christian on February 10th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The King's Christian Knights took a 40-26 bruising from the Gloucester County Christian Conquerors. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Conquerors 10-6 in the first quarter.

King's Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lily Welsh, who posted 12 points, and Angelina Alicea, who earned four points and six boards.

King's Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Gloucester County Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

King's Christian will challenge The Pilgrim Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Gloucester County Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
