Basketball Recap: Burlingame's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Burlingame lost against Mountain View back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers fell 55-51 to the Spartans. The loss put an end to the Panthers' undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, Burlingame saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lucca Maher went 5-for-7 to rack up 19 points and five rebounds. Maher has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. David Parrot was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Burlingame fell to 2-1. As for Mountain View, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Burlingame wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-41 win against Wilcox on the 5th. As for Mountain View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-40 defeat against Westmont on the 5th.
