Preview: Brownwood Lions vs. Decatur Eagles
Brownwood is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Decatur is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Brownwood Lions will take on the Decatur Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
With a playoff game on the line, Brownwood rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 37-17 margin over the Porcupines. 37 seems to be a good number for Brownwood as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Decatur has more to be thankful for after their game against Estacado on Friday. Decatur blew past Estacado 52-21 at home.
It was another big night for Nate palmer, who rushed for 224 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Palmer has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last five times he's played.
Their wins bumped Brownwood to 12-1 and Springtown to 9-4.
