Soccer Recap: Connersville Extends Winning Streak to Two

Connersville got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rushville Lions a 5-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Connersville were the better team in the second half.

They hit Rushville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Chloe Keal (2), Danica Browm, Isabella Starr, and Kennedy O'Toole.

The win made it two in a row for Connersville and bumps their season record up to 4-3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Rushville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Connersville will square off against South Dearborn at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rushville, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against East Central on the 10th.
