Eastwood has gone 10-0 against Socorro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eastwood Troopers will be playing at home against the Socorro Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Eastwood's favor as the squad sits on 19 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Socorro has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.

Last Friday, Eastwood earned a 36-28 win over Montwood. Given the Troopers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Rams are ranked 283rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Devin Falk-Ramirez was his usual excellent self, going 5 for 12 en route to 14 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Eastwood's points. Julien Falk-Ramirez was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Socorro ended up a good deal behind Montwood on Tuesday and lost 53-35.

Eastwood is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.9 points per game. As for Socorro, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-24.

Eastwood strolled past Socorro when the teams last played back in January by a score of 52-38. Does Eastwood have another victory up their sleeve, or will Socorro turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
