Volleyball Recap: Escalon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Escalon lost against Ripon Christian back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Knights, falling 3-0.

While Escalon ultimately came up short, they really made Ripon Christian work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21, 25-17.

Escalon's offense was headlined by Chloe Green and Emma Strong, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Aniston Hunt and her 30 assists. Strong also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Haven MacKinnon, each putting up two.

Escalon's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Ripon Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Escalon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Ripon on the 21st. As for Ripon Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Fortuna on the 18th.
