Football Recap: Valley View Blazers vs. Morrilton Devil Dogs
Valley View had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 49-42 victory over the Morrilton Devil Dogs on Friday. The Blazers' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Drew Gartman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 86 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 216 yards and a touchdown on only 16 passes. 109 of Gartman's passing yards were hauled in by Andrew Jones.
Valley View wouldn't let Morrilton keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Nick Gammill, Ryder Wooten, and Payton Thomason picked up one apiece.
Valley View's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Morrilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
