Basketball Recap: Montbello Comes Up Short

Montbello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Manual Thunderbolts 68-28.

Zubayr Carpenter was a one-man wrecking crew for Manual as he went 10 of 12 on his way to 20 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Carpenter a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jimmy Martinez, who posted 12 points.

Montbello's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Manual, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Montbello didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 76-27 loss against Northglenn on the 14th. Manual will take on Arvada in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Manual is facing Arvada at the right time seeing as Arvada is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
