Softball Game Preview: Taylor Griffins vs. Edsel Ford Thunderbirds

The Taylor Griffins will take on the Edsel Ford Thunderbirds at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Taylor is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Anderson on Thursday. They lost 10-2 to the Titans. The Griffins have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Taylor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Smolenski ?28, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Those runs marked the first that Smolenski ?28 has scored this season.

Meanwhile, Edsel Ford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Roosevelt, falling 16-1.

Taylor now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Edsel Ford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Taylor beat Edsel Ford 10-5 in their previous matchup on Wednesday. Will the Griffins repeat their success, or do the Thunderbirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
