Brunswick lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Higbee, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's match. The Wildcats' pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Wildcats have won four games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Brunswick pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Higbee, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Brunswick will look to defend their home field on the 18th against Brookfield at 5:00 p.m. As for Higbee, they will take on New Bloomfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
