Softball Preview: Marion County Mustangs vs. Community Trojans        
        
		
             Marion County hasn't had much luck against Community recently, but that could start to change  on Thursday. The Marion County Mustangs will look to defend their home field  against the Community Trojans  at 5:00  p.m.
 Marion County is headed into Thursday's   matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game  on Monday. They lost  12-4 to Van-Far.
 Marion County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Aylah Pollard, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave  Pollard a new career-high in  hits.
 Even though they lost, Marion County  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with ten  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile,  after only two  runs in their last  game, Community made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Louisiana  on Tuesday. Community walked away with  a   10-5  win over Louisiana.
  Jocelyn Curtis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and three unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Myla Carroll was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Chloe Johnson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Marion County's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Community, their victory bumped their record up to 19-10.
