Basketball Recap: Tayshaun Dye Key Part of a Team Effort in Trojans Win

Millington Central lost to Raleigh-Egypt back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Millington Central Trojans walked away with a 64-55 win over the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Pharaohs are ranked 289th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Millington Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tayshaun Dye, who posted 11 points. Marlow Bean was another key player, putting up ten points.

Millington Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Raleigh-Egypt, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Millington Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Munford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Raleigh-Egypt, they will take on Covington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
