Preview: Red Lake Warriors vs. Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators

The Red Lake Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Badger/Greenbush-Middle River Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Badger/Greenbush-Middle River took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Red Lake, who comes in off a win.

Red Lake scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 70-54 win over Fond du Lac Ojibwe O. The win was just what Red Lake needed coming off of a 98-26 loss in their prior match.

Among those leading the charge was Raquel Stillday, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Audri Lussier, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Badger/Greenbush-Middle River's 27-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County].

Red Lake's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.

Red Lake was dealt a bruising 71-27 defeat at the hands of Badger/Greenbush-Middle River in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Red Lake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
