Recap: Charter Oak Chargers vs. Ayala Bulldogs
The Charter Oak Chargers were the 30-29 winner over the Ayala Bulldogs when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Charter Oak took a serious blow against Ayala on Thursday, falling 45-10. Charter Oak was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-3.
Corin Berry threw for 112 yards on ten of 19 attempts. Legend Lyons was his top target, picking up 66 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Curtiss Taylor rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown.
Ayala's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marquis Monroe, who rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also picked up 63 receiving yards. Monroe's longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards. Maximus Barroso was another key contributor, throwing for 150 yards and two touchdowns.
Charter Oak is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 2-7 record this season. As for Ayala, their win bumped their record up to 5-4.
Charter Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ayala is also done with their season.
