Soccer Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Weed Cougars, falling 8-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Weed this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-2 defeat two weeks ago.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Weed, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Trinity will challenge rival Tulelake at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Weed is set to take on their familiar foe Etna at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
