Softball Recap: Taos Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Taos challenged Capital on Monday. Taos came up short against Capital, falling 18-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 10-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Taos saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Lucero, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Taos' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Capital, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Coming up, Taos is taking a road trip to challenge St. Michael's at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Capital, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Los Alamos at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
