Softball Game Preview: Pottstown Trojans vs. Upper Perkiomen Indians

Pottstown is 0-10 against Upper Perkiomen since May of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Trojans will square off against the Indians at 4:00 p.m. Pottstown has given up an average of 16.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pottstown is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Pope John Paul II, falling 17-1.

Meanwhile, Upper Perkiomen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 9-5 to Pope John Paul II.

Eva McCormick was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Riley Eden also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Upper Perkiomen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Pottstown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Pottstown suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Upper Perkiomen in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
