Flag Football Recap: Upland Highlanders/Scots vs. Etiwanda Eagles

After flying high against Los Osos on Monday, Upland came back down to earth. The Highlanders/Scots and the Etiwanda Eagles were almost perfectly matched up on Tuesday, but the Highlanders/Scots suffered a 19-18 loss. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-13 back in September.

Rebecca Ewing threw for 99 yards and three TDs. Leah Davis was her top target, picking up 59 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. On the ground, Alyssa Stoner rushed for 45 yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Etiwanda to victory, but perhaps none more so than CASSANDRA VAZQUEZ, who threw for 195 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of SHELBY HONG, who rushed for 50 yards and one score.

Upland's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Etiwanda, they pushed their record up to 22-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
