Nixon waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. They breezed past the Mission Eagles to the tune of 76-40. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 21 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Nixon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but William Palumbo led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine blocks. Those nine blocks gave Palumbo a new career-high. Dante Escobar was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 14 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Nixon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Mission lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Pablo Trevino, who posted eight points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Leon Villarreal, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points and seven boards.

Nixon pushed their record up to 27-9 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 85.0 points over those games. As for Mission, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-18.

Nixon has already played their next match, a 79-44 win against Roma on the 11th. Mission does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
