Basketball Recap: Belle Plaine Comes Up Short

Belle Plaine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the New Ulm Eagles, falling 95-67. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 92-64 back in January.

Belle Plaine's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for New Ulm, they pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Belle Plaine has already played their next game (against Blue Earth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. New Ulm will head out to face off against Worthington at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. New Ulm knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Worthington likes a good challenge.
