Softball Recap: Carbondale Area Comes Up Short on the Road Against West Scranton

Carbondale Area kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Scranton Invaders. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Carbondale Area saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abagail Carachilo, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for West Scranton and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Looking ahead, Carbondale Area is taking a road trip to face off against Mid Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Scranton, they will host Crestwood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
