Softball Recap: 15 Straight Road Wins for Caledonia

Caledonia waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Cotter Ramblers. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly three runs.

The team relied heavily on Brairy Proulx, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Elsa Blum was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Caledonia pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Cotter, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Caledonia will look to defend their home field on Monday against Winona at 5:00 p.m. As for Cotter, they will square off against Kelley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
