Football Recap: Trinity Christian Lions vs. Riverdale Raiders
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ola, Trinity Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Riverdale Raiders as the Trinity Christian Lions made off with a 35-14 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their three-point performance the contest before.
Despite the defeat, Riverdale saw an underclassman step up: Rashad Lambert made 15 total tackles (1.0 for loss). Riverdale also got help from Lawrence Tolbert, who showed off his sure hands for 121 receiving yards.
The win got Trinity Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Riverdale, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
