Preview: Clark Chargers vs. Cimarron-Memorial Spartans
After five games on the road, Clark is heading back home. They will take on the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Monday, Clark faced Durango in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Clark lost to Durango on the road by a decisive 38-22 margin.
Despite the defeat, Clark had strong showings from Trinity Tavita, who scored 5 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 blocks, and Paradise Norsworthy, who scored 8 points. Tavita is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Cimarron-Memorial earned a 57-45 win over Sunrise Mountain on Tuesday.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Durango's win pushed their record up to 2-3, while Clark's defeat dropped theirs down to 3-2.
Clark won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in February, slipping by Cimarron-Memorial 47-46. Will Clark repeat their success, or does Cimarron-Memorial have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
