Basketball Recap: Brandon Valley's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

It's playoff time, and Brandon Valley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They really took it to the Watertown Arrows for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-31 win. The Lynx have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Brandon Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Kellenberger out in front who posted 14 points and five steals. Kellenberger is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Salter, who went 7-for-11 en route to 14 points and seven boards.

The win (which was Brandon Valley's eighth in a row) raised their record to 19-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Watertown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Looking ahead, Brandon Valley will take on Pierre T.F. Riggs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Brandon Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups. Watertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
