Basketball Recap: North Tampa Christian Academy Picks Up 17th Straight Win at Home

On Saturday, the North Tampa Christian Academy Titans were fully in charge, breezing past The First Academy Royals 77-49. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 23 points or more this season.

North Tampa Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Toni Bryant out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Bryant is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in the last 47 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Caleb Sanders, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.

North Tampa Christian Academy's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.9 points per game. As for The First Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-6.

North Tampa Christian Academy will take on Varsity Opponent at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for The First Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-68 win against Osceola on the 27th.
