Softball Game Preview: Central Red Devils vs. Rehobeth Rebels

The Central Red Devils will hit the road for the first time this season to take on the Rehobeth Rebels at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Central will be strutting in after a win while Rehobeth will be coming in after a defeat.

Central is headed out to face Rehobeth after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Central put the hurt on Dothan with a sharp 13-3 victory on Thursday.

Kayla Storey tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, Khloe Broadwater was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Savannah Sevier was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Rehobeth kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Enterprise.

Rehobeth saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Cobb, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Everything went Central's way against Rehobeth when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Central made off with a 7-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
