Basketball Recap: Iowa Falls-Alden Takes a Loss

Iowa Falls-Alden lost against Algona back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets fell to the Algona Bulldogs 51-46. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 39th).

Iowa Falls-Alden's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Algona, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Iowa Falls-Alden has already played their next contest (against Webster City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Algona will square off against St. Edmond at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
