Volleyball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Cuba City Cubans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chieftains of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 25-13.

Macy McKay paced Riverdale's offense, picking up five kills. McKay got some help from Abby Tisdale and her seven assists.

Leading Cuba City to victory were Emma Johll and Trina Redfern. Johll had four digs and four aces, while Redfern had four digs.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Cuba City, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Riverdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Benton on the 4th. As for Cuba City, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Belmont on the 4th.
