Volleyball Game Preview: Liberty Lancers vs. Pueblo West Cyclones

The Liberty Lancers will face off against the Pueblo West Cyclones at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Liberty didn't have quite enough to beat Vista Ridge and fell 3-2.

Liberty took Vista Ridge into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-21, 21-25, 22-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Pueblo West faced Rampart in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Cyclones came up short against the Rams, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cyclones have suffered since November 15, 2024.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Pueblo West, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-2.

Liberty suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Pueblo West in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
