Basketball Recap: Bristol Bay Falls Despite Big Games from Kadin Torino and Riley Aurilia

Bristol Bay was the 41-39 winner over Tanalian when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bristol Bay Angels fell 48-41 to the Tanalian Lynx on Saturday.

Riley Aurilia and Kadin Torino certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Aurilia posted 13 points, while Torino put up 12 points.

Tanalian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Erik McGee led the charge by dropping a double-double with 16 points and 19 rebounds. McGee's morning made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Malachi Fowler, who scored six points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Bristol Bay has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. Tanalian's record is now 7-12.

As of now, neither Bristol Bay nor Tanalian have any future games scheduled.
