While Laurel Highlands's victory against South Fayette wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lions 3-2. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Laurel Highlands' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while South Fayette are ranked 325th).

Laurel Highlands is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for South Fayette, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-9.
