La Costa Canyon extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 15-9 in the process. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Poway Titans. The Mavericks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Poway, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

For Poway's part, Owen Digenan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kieran Langdown, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

La Costa Canyon will have a chance to go back-to-back against Poway: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
