Basketball Game Preview: Bear Lake Lakers vs. Baldwin Panthers

Bear Lake is 1-9 against Baldwin since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bear Lake Lakers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Baldwin Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Baldwin will be up against a hot Bear Lake squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Bear Lake took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 71-33 victory over Mason County Eastern.

Myles Harless and Grady Harless were among the main playmakers for Bear Lake as the former posted 27 points along with eight rebounds and three steals and the latter earned 17 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Grady's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Easton Nowak, who scored five points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Baldwin blew past Holton, posting a 68-21 win.

Bear Lake's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for Baldwin, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.
