Basketball Recap: Belmont Extends Winning Streak to Three

Belmont entered their tilt with Lexington on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Lexington Minutemen with points to spare, taking the game 49-30. For the Marauders, this counts as revenge for the 63-55 win the Minutemen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Belmont has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Lexington, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belmont will head out to take on Wilmington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lexington has already played their next contest (against Stoneham), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
