Trabuco Hills beats El Toro for their third straight win

The Trabuco Hills Mustangs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down El Toro 31-14. Given Trabuco Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 104th, while El Toro is ranked 310th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Trabuco Hills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mikey Gray, who picked up 133 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Gray's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards. Jacob Perry was another key contributor, throwing for 215 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Trabuco Hills is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for El Toro, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Trabuco Hills will head out on the road to face off against Newport Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. El Toro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
