Softball Preview: St. Petersburg Green Devils vs. Clearwater Tornadoes        
        
		
            
 The St. Petersburg Green Devils will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against the Clearwater Tornadoes at 7:00  p.m. St. Petersburg will be strutting in after a  victory while Clearwater will be coming in after a  defeat.
 St. Petersburg can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent  match  on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Dunedin  a   10-0 shutout.
  Daniela Leombruno was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nova Rollins, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Clearwater's offense. They suffered a  tough 7-0 loss at the hands of Palm Harbor University  on Tuesday. Clearwater has struggled against Palm Harbor University recently, as their  matchup on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
 Clearwater saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Camryn Busch, who  went 1-for-2 with a  double.
 St. Petersburg has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record  this season. As for Clearwater, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.
 St. Petersburg's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's   game. St. Petersburg has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.9  stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Clearwater, though, as  they've been averaging  only 1.2. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will St. Petersburg continue to outrun the ball?
 St. Petersburg suffered a grim  10-3 defeat to Clearwater  when the teams last played  back in March of 2022. Thankfully for St. Petersburg,  Kayley Williams (who   didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched) won't be suiting up this time.
