Football Recap: Wakefield Piles Up the Points Against Rock Ridge

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Falls Church, Wakefield was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over the Rock Ridge Phoenix. The Warriors pushed the score to 35-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Phoenix had no chance of recovering from.

Judah Connor went supernova, throwing for 304 yards and four TDs while completing 86.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 52 yards and one score. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

The win got Wakefield back to even at 1-1. As for Rock Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Wakefield has already played their next match, a 34-20 victory against Lewis on the 12th. As for Rock Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-10 defeat against Freedom on the 12th.
