Basketball Game Preview: Aubrey Chaparrals vs. Lake Dallas Falcons

The Aubrey Chaparrals will square off against the Lake Dallas Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Aubrey knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 matches -- so hopefully Lake Dallas likes a good challenge.

Aubrey will head into Tuesday's contest out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 93-59 loss at the hands of Panther Creek. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), the Chaparrals still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lake Dallas, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Van Alstyne on Tuesday as Lake Dallas made off with a 72-48 win. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 381st, while the Panthers are ranked 770th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Aubrey's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-9. As for Lake Dallas, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-17.

Aubrey beat Lake Dallas 65-57 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Aubrey have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lake Dallas turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
