Softball Recap: Bloom-Carroll Extends Winning Streak to Six

Bloom-Carroll lost to Liberty Union back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Lions. The Bulldogs' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Madelyn Gates, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Whitcraft, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one double.

Gates wasn't the only one making solid contact: Bloom-Carroll kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Bloom-Carroll's record now sits at 6-0. As for Liberty Union, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Coming up, Bloom-Carroll will face off against West Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Liberty Union, they will challenge Amanda-Clearcreek at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
