Basketball Recap: Globe Comes Up Short

Globe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 39-23 to the Florence Gophers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 57-44 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2025.

Globe's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Florence, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Globe is set to take on their familiar foe Seton Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Florence will challenge rival Coolidge at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
