Football Game Preview: Tennessee Vikings vs. Abingdon Falcons

The Tennessee Vikings will challenge the Abingdon Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Abingdon took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Tennessee, who comes in off a win.

Tennessee is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Virginia High to the tune of 43-7 on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-0.

Meanwhile, Abingdon suffered their biggest loss since September 28, 2024 on Friday. They lost 48-24 to Richlands. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The win made it two in a row for Tennessee and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 points in those games. As for Abingdon, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything went Tennessee's way against Abingdon in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Tennessee made off with a 21-0 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
