After flying high against Granada Hills Charter on Monday, Taft came back down to earth. The Toreadors fell just short of the El Camino Real Royals by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Toreadors' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Taft sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 19-25, 15-13.

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 33-13. As for El Camino Real, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season.

Taft will be playing in front of their home fans against Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. El Camino Real does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
