Volleyball Preview: Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies vs. Knox Redskins
Plymouth has gone 7-0 against Knox recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies will welcome the Knox Redskins at 5:00 p.m. Plymouth is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
Last Saturday, Plymouth was able to grind out a solid victory over Fairfield, taking the game 2-0.
Meanwhile, Knox posted their biggest win since September 14, 2023 on Thursday. Everything went their way against LaVille as Knox made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redskins.
Knox never let LaVille on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-23.
Knox can attribute much of their success to Sarah Fort, who had eight digs and two aces.
She wasn't the only good server: Knox was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive games.
