Volleyball Recap: Patton Extends Winning Streak to Four

Patton came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Hibriten with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

One reason for the win was Patton's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-22, 25-19.

Soraya Hartman paced Patton's offense, picking up nine kills. Hartman got some help from Emma Griffin and her 13 assists. Griffin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Patton's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Hibriten, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Patton is set to challenge their familiar foe Chase at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hibriten will take on rival West Caldwell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
