Basketball Recap: West Platte Takes a Loss

West Platte lost against North Platte back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The West Platte Bluejays took a hard 60-45 fall against the North Platte Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Panthers are ranked 77th).

West Platte's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for North Platte, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

The future could be bright for both West Platte and North Platte: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. West Platte will try to hand South Holt their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, North Platte will look to extend St. Joseph Christian's 15-game losing streak when the meet at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
