Softball Recap: Moreau Catholic Falls Short of San Leandro in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Moreau Catholic can now relate to. They came up short against the San Leandro Pirates on Tuesday, falling 14-4. It was the first time this season that the Mariners let down their fans at home.

Moreau Catholic saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Mejia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs. Another was Sienna Rios, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Moreau Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for San Leandro, they moved to 19-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

As of now, neither Moreau Catholic nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
