Basketball Recap: Byron Center Takes a Loss

Byron Center was the 55-34 winner over DeWitt when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Byron Center Bulldogs received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 44-30 to the DeWitt Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while the Panthers are ranked 13th).

Byron Center's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for DeWitt, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Byron Center will head out to square off against Jenison at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for DeWitt, they are taking a road trip to face off against Waverly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
