Basketball Recap: Green River's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Green River unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to the Mountain View Buffalos 58-52. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffalos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Green River's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Mountain View, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Green River will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. After both having extra time off, Mountain View and Lyman will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 12:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Lyman will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Mountain View surely won't give up without a fight.
